# DSP Mutual Fund DSP Mutual Fund is one of India's leading asset management companies, managed by DSP Asset Managers Private Limited (DSPAM). Established in 1996 and headquartered in Mumbai, DSP carries a 150+ year legacy of the DSP Group in financial services. With over 63 lakh (6.3 million) unique investors and offices in 40+ cities across India, DSP offers a comprehensive range of mutual fund schemes across equity, debt, hybrid, index, ETF, international, and solution-oriented categories. DSP Mutual Fund was originally formed as DSP Merrill Lynch Asset Management through a joint venture with Merrill Lynch. Following BlackRock's global acquisition of Merrill Lynch's asset management business, it became DSP BlackRock Investment Managers Ltd. In 2018, the DSP Group reacquired BlackRock's 40% stake, and the fund was rebranded as DSP Mutual Fund — a fully Indian-owned asset management company. In 2023, DSP Investment Managers Private Limited demerged its asset management business to form DSP Asset Managers Private Limited (DSPAM). The current Managing Director & CEO is Kalpen Parekh.
